Our Deparment works by using four seperate rotating Platoons on 24 hour shifts. Each Platoon man's three Stations throughout the City of Cohoes. Each Platoons is made up of nine personel. Each Platoon has a Captain and a Lieutenant as well as seven firefighters. Each Platoon man's three fire apparatus, a Ladder Truck (Ladder 1), as well as two Engines (Engine 2 & 3).
Each Platoon is under the direction of the Fire Cheif.
