CFD Services - Fire Suppression

Once started, fire moves fast and will destroy everything in it's path. Because of this, the Cohoes Fire Department has dedicated it's many resources to rapid suppression and exposure protection through;

  • Rapid Response (3 minutes or less Average response)
  • Immediate focus on life safety & fire containment and extinguishment offensive tactics
  • Acquisition of state of the art equipment & techniques such as;
  • Large Diameter Hose for water supply
  • Ariel Tower operations for Rescue, Ventilation & High Volume Water Streams
  • Individual Firefighting Life Protection Systems
All Line Officers are New York City Training Academy Graduates
